To make things run smoothly, we have developed a seven-step process that helps you keep your attention on running your business and let’s us focus on building a website. This process helps makes things less complicated and more enjoyable.

We start your Web Design Process with a brainstorming session so that I can learn as much about your goals and needs for the Website. I can set up a personal meeting if your business is located in Mandurah or the surrounding areas. If your schedule doesn’t allow for a one-on-one meeting, or your business is outside the Mandurah Area, we can easily discuss the material over the phone or via email.
In the meeting or consultation, we will discuss important issues like your requirements for website size, platform, features, email requirements, company branding and more. The more information I gather about your goals, needs, budget, content and photos, the faster the process will be to finish your new website.

The second step involves collecting content for your website, which is the actual text, photos, graphics, and company branding such as your logo design and company colours. New businesses might not have any content to start. If this is the case, we will guide you as to how to approach obtaining these necessary items to complete your website. Having your own content will save you money.
Don’t have any content? No problem. Many of our clients are too busy to have put together enough content to fill their website. When we are asked to create the content, it is especially important to discuss in detail what your business does and how it operates. We can then provide a quote for creating all the content you might need.

We won’t require your assistance in the web design process at this stage and is where our work really begins. A storyboard of all the details you have provided is then created. This contains details of exactly what your navigation will consist of and the layout of each page design. Then your website will be set to your company colours. Lastly, we source and decide which images are appropriate for each page.
Once this framework has been finalized, then actual construction of your website begins, page by page. We start the build with the home page to set the tone and look of all the other pages that follow. Because of the importance of the home page, it is not uncommon to spend many hours getting things just right.

We allocate time in each of our Web Design Packages for making revisions. You will be given the chance to get a sneak peak of your design and give approval to move ahead. We ask you to review colour selections, image placement, navigation, and content to assure us your website is built the way you intended.
If you have made any changes or adjustments to the current design, we go back to correct those items, as you stated, to get a final approval. Please be aware that the final revision needs to be exactly how you want your website. Any further tweaks or changes may result in not only a delay in the finishing of your site, but also add extra cost.

Things start to get exciting at this stage of Web Development. We have finished all of your pages of the website. Then we perform final checks such as proof reading, image placements, navigation links, and test forms for functionality.
I then review of our initial consultation notes to make sure nothing is forgotten. Then I check for website responsiveness to be sure that your website looks great on desktops, tablets, or mobile phones. All pages are double checked that the On-Page SEO has also been finished. Once all of these final checks have been accomplished, your website is now ready to progress to the next stage of development.

Once I’ve checked your On-Page Search Engine Optimization, I then proceed with the final checks such as page speed and loading times. After that, I clean-up of unnecessary images and files that are not needed for the final website.
Each of our Web Design Packages have different degrees of Search Engine Optimization included. Depending on which package you chose determines how much extra time is needed to finish the sixth stage of creating the website. Once all of the SEO is finished, we are ready to start the remaining stage of Launch and Testing.

Once we are happy that everything has been finished, the website is then uploaded to the server. We are now close to letting the world see your new website, but first a few last-minute checks and testing needs to be done.
Now I check navigation, internal and external links and contact forms to make sure they are functioning correctly. Sometimes certain plugins need to be purchased, activated, adjusted and checked once the website is live and in its permanent location. Once all this is finished it is now time for the world to see your new website!
